Great show! Really enjoyed everything about it.
Saw Chicargo with a friend who had never been to a musical before. Had a great time the truly enjoyed the play. One of my favorites.
I saw Chicago last January in Cleveland, OH. And let me tell you it was AMAZING! Bianca Marroquin is just to brilliant as Roxie. And Brenda B rocks Velma. The whole cast is AMAZING!... I really recommend trying to see the show if you can't see it in NY, try and catch it on tour even though Bianca is leaving the tour this sunday you shouldn't miss a chance to see this great show!
I saw Chicago on tour with Carole Woods (from Across the Universe) and Jerry Springer. I enjoyed the show, but could NOT take anything Jerry Springer said seriously. Carole Woods absolutley blew me away, however.
Chicago is still as hot as ever. Saw it 10 years ago on Broadway and then again just recently. Would still highly recommend it to anyone.
Seeing Chicago finally let me say "I've seen a musical on the GREAT WHITE WAY!" I'm so impressed by and grateful for it's longevity as a revival; to think it's outlasted the original run! For a show with such frequent cast changes, it is to it's credit that the important elements do not change -the clear Fosse style -the show within a show -the comments on society a fantastic theater experience
Vi la obra en Buenos Aires. Es genial. Nunca te aburres! Pronto la veré en Broadway.
Just saw the NYC production & wanted to thank everyone involved with it...especially for keeping Fosse's vision true. It is an important work everyone should see!
Chicago on Broadway is absolutely amazing. The dancers, singers, and actors work the stage to bring you this amazing show that makes you want to dance in the aisles!! Would definitely pay to see it again! :D
I saw Chicago on Broadway, second row seats and it was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. I could see the actors sweat and the dancers count. I loved every second of it! Simply a must-see no matter where you sit!
Chicago was fantastic...have seen it in LA and Las Vegas and both were fantastic with different casts. Also thought the movie version was great!
I saw the tour when it last hit the city of Chicago and it was fabulous! The entire ensemble was fierce, gorgeous, and talented! My favorite performer, though, was the sassy and sultry Roz Ryan as Mama Morton. The show was pure electricity from start to finish and I'd recommend it to anyone!
Simply the best.
Just saw it this past weekend for the first time ever. Not sure why I waited so long....It was amazing. I really love music that I can leave the theater singing, and just makes you feel great. Chicago did for me. The music, dancing, story and staging were all Broadway, nothing was spared in this production. It was exactly what theater is supposed to be.
I have seen Chicago twice and I am ready for the trifecta! The singing, dancing and story line are great.
i love this show, i have seen it 2 times, it is wonderful
I saw it with the original cast on Broadway and there was nothing like it. I even named my dog Roxie Hart!!
Amazing! I love love loved this show! Saw it once in regular orchestra seats and once in a standing room only setting. So entertaining and you'll be singing the songs for weeks!
My first and best broadway experience to date. I saw this as a teenager, and have seen it twice since then. Michelle T. Williams is *perfect* as Roxie! There is nothing about this show that isn't incredible, and I recommend it to anyone...it's a definite must-see!
I saw it on Broadway. The singing and dancing was amazing.
raw energy that holds you from the first specials to the final sultry look
Chicago is one of my all time favorites. I have been 4 times and have never been disappointed. If friends come to New York for a visit, I always suggest Chicago. Everyone ends up in a happy mood and the songs never leave you!
Chicago was one of the first shows I ever saw on Broadway. I believe it was in 1976, with the venerable Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera. I then saw it on Broadway with Bebe Neuwirth and Karen Ziemba. They were both historically great shows, with amazing performances. The former took place too long ago to make an accurate comparison, but they were both brilliant productions, and will live on in my memory for years to come.
My all-time favorite show! Seen it several times -- movie, Broadway and while on tour and will see it as many times as I'm offered the opportunity!! The music, costumes and cast selections are always top notch!! UPLIFTING MUSICAL!!
I really enjoy Chicago. I saw it with my boyfriend in Raleigh, NC and was one of the best date ever!
LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Saw the original revival Cast and have seen on tour twice. A timeless, yet topical tale of Murder and perfect for people sick of Infamous Celebrities and their crimes. Took my son to see the show on tour--he responded with "This is So Much Sexier, than the Movie" I can not imagine that the original movie with Ginger Rogers was made so long ago, yet is still fresh in the Millenium. Run and See this show Today!!!
I first saw Chicago when I was in college. I went to New York with my brother and his girlfriend and we had to beg him to go. Well, he finally gave in and not only did he love the show, he bought a T-shirt on his way out! And remember, he was COMPLETELY against seeing it! I love the sexiness of the dancing in the show and its overall tone and sense of humor, not to mention the brilliant simplicity of its staging. Favorite character has to be Mama Morton, but I'm also a Velma Kelly guy. Love Amos and even did my best version of "Mr Cellophane" in a college musical theater revue. I often recommend this show to friends, pleading with them to see the actual show and not settle for the movie. Loved the movie, but nothing beats seeing this one live and in person. Plus, the movie ditches a few of my Velma's songs! That's just WRONG!
Can't wait to see Chicago! Comes to LA in April!
Saw the show Friday night at the charter theatre, preston, with Marti pellow reprising his role as Billy Flynn. It was absolutely fantastic!!!! I have wanted to see it for years (its my fave), and i finally got to see it as a birthday pressie from my hubby, and i was not disappointed!!! Man, Marti can sing!!! and you would never guess that Emma Barton who played Roxie has never had any formal training - she is amazing and a fantastic singer!!! Thank you so much for such a great show, and for making my birthday so very special!!! Cant wait to see it again soon!!!! The BEST show EVER!!!!!!
I love Chicago, I saw it in 2007 with Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin. BEST THING EVER! my first broadway show, such an entertaining storyline, choreography is fantastic. playing roxie is on my bucket list now
I've only seen this amazing show once but I loved it! The set was simple but it still amazes me how much they were able to do with just a few ladders and curtains. I definitely plan on seeing this one again in the near future :) If you haven't yet seen this show, I definitely recommend it!
I've seen the show twice on Broadway and once on tour. Fosse could not be beaten for the subtle moves and the way he changed dance. I love the humor in the stage show. The music, the dance, the casting is just magic on stage and one show that never grows old. Each time I've experienced this you see something new.
Chicago is classic, must-see theatre. I have seen the show multiple times ... broadway, tour, and regional. The very BEST Roxie ever has to be Charlotte d'Amboise. She is brilliant!
I saw Chicago for my Birthday in 1996 and loved every minute of it! Got third row seats for my parents two years ago and they loved it too! I still listen to the great soundtrack and plan on seeing it again soon! A Broadway Classic!
Great show! Classic and timeless Broadway!
This show was AWESOME. I loved the music and the dancing. I could see it again and again and never get tired. It is a MUST SEE!
Great show. Better than the movie.
I just saw Chicago on Broadway for the first time. Ahslee Simpson Wentz was Roxie and she was fantastic. The music is amazing and the dancing is mind blowing!! I recommend this show for any fan of the movie for the Broadway show is of excellent.
I saw Chicago on Broadway twice. Love it both times! The music is great, especially the "puppetry". I recommed you see ASAP!
I saw this show with Bebe Neuwurth and Anne Rienking when it first came out. It was so funny and so powerful. The music was totally memorable and I knew it would be a hit. Now years later, we know it is a hit. And so many stars want to play this role... Heck, I want to play this role... (Anne's role not Bebe's)I am going to see it again with new stars. I recommend this show. You can't go wrong!
I've seen this show on Broadway three times. It's suspenseful, hilarious and the dancing is fantastic! Creative genius at work!
Saw the original many years ago with Liza Minelli - this was just as good, if not better! Go see it with Ashlee Simpson before she leaves the show.
I have loved the movie Chicago for only about two years, I watch it all of the time. I know every word to the movie, and every move they make. My aunt turned me on to this movie and she is the same way, so when we are together we quote Chicago when we are having a conversation, watch Chicago, and listen to the soundtrack when driving. In September of 2009, I cried when I learned that Chicago the Musical was coming to the Fox Theatre in St. Louis which is only a three hour drive from my hometown. The day the tickets went on sale, I started calling about thirty minutes before until they answered as I was sure in my mind that this show would be sold out in a matter of minutes due to its level of greatness. So the show was January 2, 2010, and the four months of having the tickets just waiting for the big day was agonizing! Well the day finally came, and of course my aunt went with me having to drive all the way from Oklahoma. She didn't mind, we can't get enough of Chicago! It has only been two days since I saw the show, and I am still on cloud nine. I almost cried at the beginning because this was an important milestone for me, seeing Chicago the Musical is on my 'Bucket List', things to do before I die. But instantly I was mesmerized, it was as if I was in a trance or had been hypnotized by the music! At the end during "Nowadays" and "Hot Honey Rag" I was crying. The only word I can describe the show was that it was breathtaking. I cant stop thinking about it, and I cant wait until I get to see it again! This summer in my hometown they are directing a Chicago musical and I am trying out for Roxie! I just want to thank everyone who had anything to do with the showing of this brilliant musical on January 2, 2010 in St. Louis, it will be a memory I will never forget!!
SAW IT TWICE --ONCE IN THE 70'S WITH LIZA (GWEN VERDON WAS OUT DUE TO INJURY FOR A LITTLE WHILE) AND CHITA, AND ONCE ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO ON BROADWAY WITH NOBODY PARTICULARLY FAMOUS. DOESN'T MATTER WHO'S IN IT . GREAT SHOW! PARTICULARLY IN THESE DAYS OF TIGER WOODS, ASHLEY DUPREE AND REALITY SHOW STARS.
Chicago is the perfect show for both men and women to see together...it is both sweet and sexy at the same time, the music and dancing is top-notch and the story is so much fun! I tried to pick out my favorite character and performer, but it is impossible - all of the NYC cast is phenominal!! I rarely see shows more than once, but this show is the type I think you will see something new each time. I am going back again to see Ashlee Simpson-Wentz! Good luck girl!! : )
The show was a true delight and wonderful evening out in the big apple. I would recommend the show to my friends and family
One of the great classics! Just an incredible Broadway experience.
Having seen the original with Gwen Vernon and Chita Rivera, it was a surprising pleasure to see this long running revival. The minimal set focuses on the talents of the actors, the music, and the choreography! GO SEE IT!
this was very classy and awesome music. i would recommend this to everyone.
Just saw Chicago yesterday starring Ashlee Simpson-Wentz who did a GREAT job of Roxie Hart!! The whole entire cast was phenomenal! I cannot wait to go see it again. LOVE the music, LOVE the acting, LOVE the humor!
Fantastic!! The dancing was beyond belief. I reccomend it to everyone!!
The music keeps me coming back!
Chicago is amazing! I'd like to see it again and to recommend it to my friends!
Chicago was the first show that I saw on Broadway. It is a great show and I recommend it to everyone.
Chicago is such a great show. It's a classic a show everyone should see. GO SEE CHICAGO!
Chicago is my go to show when friends and family come to visit in New York!! It's always a crowd pleaser. It's a classic.
I saw Chicago back in 2001 and I loved it. I would absolutely see it again. The show is great. Love the music and the dancing. It's a classic.
I have seen Chicago 6 times: 4 times on Broadway and twice on tour. When friends or family visit, Chicago is a fail-safe good time!
My wife and I saw the show in Las Vegas. Though its clearly not the typical Vegas show, we both thoroughly enjoyed the performance from the stage setup to the performers
A classic worth seeing! Loved the show! Still remains a shining star!
I've seen this show twice. Once with the original cast, and once on tour. It's such a sexy, fun show. I love the choreography, the music, and the twisted sense of humor that ties it all together. This show grabs you from the first moment and never lets you go.
I have seen the show three times on Broadway over the years, each with a different cast. It has been wonderful on each occasion, and I do not rule out seeing it yet again!
I saw it on tour and it was AMAZING! The production and cast captured the spirit of the show perfectly. The cast was incredibly talented and did an excellent job of singing these classic songs. I'd return in a heartbeat - it's a guaranteed good night out!
I saw Chicago five years ago as a present for getting into college. We got front row seats... so close you could see the spit and sweat of the actors. It was an AMAZING performance. Happy 13th birthday Chicago!
I've seen the show four times. Once with Bebe, Ann, James, Joel, Marcia, and David, with Jennifer Holiday as Mama, Melanie Griffith as Roxie, and most recently with Deidre Goodwin and Melissa Rae Mahon(u/s Roxie). The show is amazing and definitely captivating. One I would definitely see over and over again.
ONE WORD - FANTASTIC!
We took my Dad to Chicago for his 90th birthday. Gave him new reason to live!
I loved Chicago so much when I saw it back in the 1970's (once with Gwen Verdon and once with Liza Minnelli), I just had to bring my daughters to Broadway to see the current revival. Nothing can beat that Kander and Ebb music!
Saw it when it first opened with BeBe Neuwirth & Anne Renkin. Wow! Waht a show. My daughter has been after me to take her ever since. Chicago has that old time Sizzle. You can't beat Fosse for that "Razzle Dazzle"
My husband and I have seen Chicago 3 times and loved it every time. Bebe N. was wonderful in it and I am buying tickets for my sons for a Xmas gift for them.
I like Chicago. I think the best part may be Bebe Neuwirth being in the cast of this revival. She is amazingly talented, and combined with the fabulous material, she is fierce!
Great show! Saw it a while back with Usher....oh my, does he have charisma!
I went to see the Chicago the other night with my room mate and we had the most amazing time! Not only were we captivated the whole time but we immediatly listened tot he soundtrack we had bought when we got home, becuase we didn't want the experience to end! Fantastic show!
This was the first musical I ever went to. I saw it years ago and i fell in love :)... I loved everything about it. The music was my favorite, it was fantastic!! It made me a fan of musicals.
Amazing show. I was addicted to the movie when it first came out, but the play is 1000 times better. They do a wonderful job and you are hooked from the beginning. I would definitely go see it again!
Lighting was AMAZING!! Especially for the Cell Block Tango number. As a tech, the show had costumes of amazing caliber, sets of reserved brilliance and all that JAZZ! It was SWEET!
Amazing show! I've seen it four times, and it just gets better. Can't wait to catch it again in November!
We saw Chicago with Brooke Shields & got to sit in the first row! Loved the singing, the dancing and the story - all fun, fun, fun!
I first saw Chicago a few years ago with Jasmine Guy and loved it so much I bought two more tickets to take my mom to see it. Then I went back with my husband. The music, the choreography, the humour - everything was fantastic. My daughter loved the music, so guess who took her to see it with this new revival? Chicago never gets old!
We had it coming...we had it coming...and whether or not it was on Broadway with any of the many cast variations or at the movies it was well worth it. Can honestly say because the two venues are so different each is splendid and holds its own for obvious reasons. I love Chicago.
Chicago is one of my all time favorite musicals! Not only is Fosses unique, seductive, and chic choreography the reason why this musical is golden, but the musical is actually funny too! I loved the intimacy of the Ambassador theatre as well...I didnt want the show to end. I will definitely be seeing it a 2nd time!
I saw Chicago on Broadway with one of my friends recently. We had standing room tickets but still really enjoyed the play. I especially liked the music. The orchestra was great and the conductor was quite entertaining. I think it was the only time I ever saw the orchestra featured as part of the story almost. I think it really added to the experience. While everyone else filed out my friend and I stayed behind to hear every last note.
This hot revival of Chicago brings such a great sass to Broadway. The show that dazzles audience members 8 times a week is still fresh and popping with fun. Having visited this show on tour and on Broadway it never stopped having me on the edge of my seat. Its great to have this show still running on Broadway. This show is a MUST SEE
We saw Chicago on Broadway in Sept 08 and loved every minute of it. We were very suprised to see Tom Wopat as Billy Flynn. Our favorite scene of the show by far was Mr. Cellophane!
I saw it on Broadway when it 1st opened. Joel Grey was awesome!
Saw the show as part of a "Career Day on Broadway" program for Girl Scouts. We loved everything about this show. It is on our "I would see that again" list.
Amazing show!Interesting and intense from the start and a very surprising ending that floored my friends and I. Definitely a show to go see.
I saw Chicago in London back in 2003. It is a really terrific show, filled with intriguing music and characters. It is definitedly a show for mature audiences.
Chicago was the second show I ever saw on Broadway -- way back in 1999. I just saw it again and was very happy to find out that it is every bit as good as I remembered.
Saw Chicago this past summer with friends, one of whom had never been to a Broadway show. We all loved the energy and the story. Our friend can't wait to return to NY to see another Broadway show.
I've seen Chicago more times than I can count: Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera in Los Angeles (at a dress rehearsal at the Music Center); the revival in London and Los Angeles, and of course the film - never get tired of it.
One of the best musicals of all time! A show for grownups with a great score and brilliant choreography.
Amazing show! High energy, non-stop action the whole way through! Can't wait until I can see it again!
Just one word: killer. I had seen the musical a few years ago with movie star names attached and I have to say, the Broadway talent in this production was of a much higher caliber. They totally blew me away!
Chicago is a great crowd pleaser. The score is amazing. Can't wait to see it again next weekend!
Chicago is always a crowd pleaser. Great songs, amazing dancers, cool set and costumes. An enjoyable evening.
Absolutely amazing!! It was everything I thought it would be and more! Can not believe I waited so long to see it!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Chicago!!!!! Saw it on Broadway and at a small dinner theater in my home town, Sarasota, Florida, and both performances were absolutely fantastic! I could see it time and time again and never get tired of it....I recommend it to everyone!
Loved it so much.Being such a huge fosse fan of course I was just captured for the whole show.
Fantastic! Movie does not compare.
Chicago is a great musical. The limited set design really let you focus on the music and singing. This is a show you can see again and again. It’s about greed, sex, money and power. What’s not to love?
It really is awesome "And All That Jazz!" I have seen Chicago before, but the performance I saw recently was the best. Bianca was awesome as Roxie Hart. She was cute, sexy, and captivating. I was surprised at Jery Springer's performance. He was great! He brought the perfect amount of charisma and shadiness to his character. After the show we met some of the cast members and they were all so sweet. Bravo!
This is a great show. I watched it first on Broadway a number of years ago, then on tour and now finally back on Broadway again. The music is fun and you will leave singing. Go see it today.
Chicago is Broadway at its sexiest best, best, best! If you have not seen Chicago you are missing out on Broadway at its finest! What are you waiting for??? I have seen this wonderful show 4 times and I am just longing to be swept away by all that jazz again!!! Sexy performers, great music, fantastic dancing and it is funny too! No show comes close! 2 Words: Go Now!
I have seen this show recently on Broadway its a great show for all the family, entertaining especially for teenagers. Loved it will be back again soon
OMG! Chicago is amazing. Rockin' bodies, catchy tunes, and great story! I have seen it 3 times on Broadway and am ready to go back again! Go see it if you get the chance. Please no movie comparisons... the musical is its own entity and brilliant!
Chicago is one of the few shows I have seen over and over again. The dynamics change with each different actor/actress in the leading roles, so it is like seeing a brand new show each time -- but with the benefit of getting to hear those wonderful songs whose lyrics I have learned by heart! This show epitomizes what Broadway is all about!
I saw Chicago in it's original run w/Ann Reinking and Jerry Ohrbach. I saw it again a few months ago with my son and I was thrilled that it still had such a great energy level from the cast. No one was especially "famous" but every single cast member made this a remarkable ensemble classic show! Well worth seeing again AND again!
Talk about getting the Razzle Dazzle! I have gone to this show at least once a year since it has opened! There is always a surprise and something new to experience. Love, Love all the new and repeating cast members that I have been able to enjoy. What's good for Momma is absolutely good for me!
I loved Chicago for the fourth time. The first was with Gwen Verdon years ago. This last time was with Lisa Rinna and her husband Harry Hamlin. They were great. The show is just as good now as it was 30 years ago. Loved it!!
It's been around so long because it's so good!
I saw Chicago a year and a half ago and it was awesome! I had seen the movie prior, so I was already familiar with the storyline and the songs. I think this really helped me to get into it! There are no set or costume changes during the entire show, and the set itself is minimal, black bleachers, black chairs, black leotards and fishnets - for the most part- but the simplicity of the set and wardrobe definitely did not amount to simplicity of plotline, emotion, and "razzle-dazzle". I loved this show and I would see it again and agin. The tunes are catchy, and the storyline is edgey! This is a must see on broadway as it's true to the storyline and song- no fancy over-the-top set or costume to distract you from the lack of story-This is the real thing!! "If you had been there, if you had seen it, I bet you, you would have done the same....!"
Awesome! I saw Chandra Wilson on Broadway! LOVE her!!! The perfect Mama. Last year I saw the tour when it came through Pittsburgh. Amazing! I have seen the show 5 times professionally. Each time has been a unique experience. Fantastic! I even saw an old friend from High School in one performance. Positive reviews.....YOU HAD IT COMIN'
Whether you're a New Yorker or a visitor to NY, you must see "Chicago". The music is amazing and the story is captivating (no pun intended).
I've been a Chicago nerd for years! This is THE BEST show on broadway. The performers are superb. Ann Reinking's Choreography is BRILLIANT! It's just overall a feel-good musical with a great score, and I know it's going to run for many more years. GO SEE IT! You haven't lived untill you've seen Chicago!
The fist time I saw Chicago I was eight years old. I saw it once more as a teenager after watching the movie about 100 times (needless to say I noticed a lot more the second time around). The performers were exceptional! I also did a Broadway classroom workshop with an actor. He could not have been sweeter! I will always remember this show fondly, as it was my very first experience with Broadway! Go Chicago!
Chicago has everything you could want in a Broadway show: stylish choreography, ear-catching music and a criminally great story.
I saw the movie and wasn't impressed at all but the stage version is sooooo much better!!!
The first time I saw Chicago, it was the film version. However, for me seeing the show is a much more entertaining experience. The cast was excellent and the level of talent was astounding.
I saw Chicago in Ambassador Theatre in New York. Great treat for a local or visitor alike.
This was absolutely life changing. I'd never seen it before now.
I think Chicago is one of the few classic pieces of theatre that you can actually still see on Broadway that will please both old and new fans alike...I loved it !!!
To entire cast did a wonderful job and I was surprised how much they could do on such a small set. I had a really great time.
was just as good as the movie if not better, at NYC Broadway, a must see show.
I've seen Chicago both in London and in New York and it's always such fun!!! I was lucky enough to see it with the original cast in NYC and in London I saw Ashlee Simpson as Roxie Hart. She was pretty good and seemed to really have a lot of fun. The show itself is amazing!
I saw Chicago when I was a teenager - my first Broadway show! I saw it with Bebe Neuwirth and Joel Grey, and it was amazing! I knew every song and learned all the dances! Thanks for the memories!
I Finally watched the Movie & Loved it! I Promise and Vow to get tickets this month for the Play too.
I absolutely Love Chicago!!! I've Watched the movie over & over, even to the point that i had to get a new movie!! && i can not wait till i go see the musical!!!!
Saw Chicago in London, just loved it, got a kick how some people after the show thought the city of Chicago was still full of gangsters and sin. Great show, filled with songs that stay with you after its over
I saw Chicago in Chicago it just blew me away, went back the next night to see it again. LOVE LOVE LOVE this show
I loved watching Chicago on DVD but I am certainly lucky to be able to see it on Broadway myself. As a native New Yorker, I have been to Chicago 3 times and it has never failed me. Everything is just spectacular. It reminds me how much I love New York and well...Chicago.
I saw Chicago with Sandy Duncan. She was fabulous. I had seen it years ago and wanted to see it again.
If you've seen the movie, you haven't seen nothing yet! The stage version of Chicago simplifies the story and turns what you would expect to be a huge production into an intimate, entertaining night at the theatre. The orchestra is onstage, with the conductor actually playing bit parts throughout the show (to a hysterical response, I might add). Each and every performer means business and you believe each of them were MEANT to be a part of the show. Get tickets now. It'll be around for years, so get tickets again later. You can never see CHICAGO too many times...
My friend gave me tickets to see Chicago on Broadway in Los Angeles last year and it was fantastic. My daughter and I were speechless throughout the performance. We would like to see it again.
Spectacular! I was absolutely blown away
Saw Chicago on Broadway awhile back. Love the dancing and singing. Bought "Chicago" the musical CD so I can listen to it again and again. I ended up seeing it again since the CD leave some of the scene connection out.
It was one of the best shows I saw inyears couldseeit again
I saw Chicago with my husband years ago when Bebe Newirth was in the cast. It was spectacular especially because my friend Luis Perez was the head choreographer and his wife Tina Paul was one of the murderesses.
My daughter scored tickets for us, front row, center, a few years ago. We were so close the dancers's sweat was flying on us. And what sexy dancers. We saw Huey Lewis as Billy, and the entire show was great. We're getting another group together to see it soon. The music is outstanding, and I especially love the way the pit band is on stage, visible and part of the performance. Go see this show if you like singing, dancing, live musicians, sexy people and a lot of fun!
It was a great show!!! Would love to go back again!!!
ROXY MAY ROCK CHICAGO BUT SHE KNOCKS THEM DEAD IN NY
Loved chicago!! Have seen in 4 times!!
I have seen the show three times on Broadway, each time with a different cast and the show just never disappoints. Very clever and entertaining. Mr. Cellophane is the best!
We saw Chicago our first time in NYC. It was the quintessential New York experience! We especially appreciated the Fosse-like choreography. The score is excellent and the sets are terrific. We hope to get back to NYC again soon, and it will definitely include another trip to see "Chicago." I don't think we would ever get tired of seeing it. it's one of those kind of shows.
I have seen Chicago in NYC five times now. I loved it more every time I saw it. Great music, great entertainment & overall, great show!!!
I've saw the original Chicago and this revival two times and the revival is, hands down, the better version. The staging is great, music is wonderful and plot very pertinent for today. I highly recommend it.
I saw Chicago when it came to Washington DC. It was by far one of the best shows that my fiancee and I have seen. I was worried that since there was no set changes that it might be boring, but it was far from it. The songs were amazing and the characters and songs drew you in. This show is highly recommended!
I saw the show 18 times all around the world since 1996. It was my first broadway musical (I'm from France) and it still a pleasure to see it again and again ....CHICAGO is forever & forever in my heart.
I have seen Chicago 3 times with 3 different casts. Each one brought a fresh and fun interpretation to the show. I look forward to the songs that have now become familiar and hum the tunes for days afterwards!
The show is timeless - seen it several times with both friends and my spouse and it is always alive and vibrant and a great theater night.
I saw a condensed version of Chicago at Harrahs Marina in AC during the 80's with original cast member Chita Rivera and met her afterward-I was a goner! Years later when it came back to B'way, I couldnt wait but I missed Bebe Neuwirth....until she returned! What an experience, I could see this show a million times!
I love Chicago...it is one the best shows!!! All that jazz and pazazz. A story with a fantastic story line, flashy dancing and memorable songs. It is such a classic show that I could see again and again! Have seen it twice in NYC and would go again tomorrow if I could. GO SEE CHICAGO, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
Chicago is a great play in both style and presentation. Clever and visually exciting.
Was in a college production of Chicago in 1986, even before the NYC long-run. Caught Bebe soon after this production opened and have seen London and touring companies more than a dozen times. It's smart, sexy, sassy and still the best show in town.
Great Fosse dancing with a captivatingly dark story
We had the pleasure of seeing Chicago when Wayne Brady played the part of Billy Flynn - just loved it!
Amazing Event. Saw Chicago in L.A. at the Pantages on Valentines day. It is a classic. The classical Fosse Dancing takes one back to a time when dancing was more then jumping and headstands. Great story, great singing and great dancing. Everything a musical should be!
Amazing! Fabulous! Loved It!!!
Chicago is a classic! Terrific score, unbelievable dancing, and fun story. One of those shows you can see again and again. A Must See for any broadway muscial fans!
Chicago is one of my favorites Broadway Shows!!! Seen it twice and hope to take my daughter this fall.
Seen the Broadway production on my last trip, and was amazed at how great the musical is on stage. So sexy, and the music was just fantastic. The cast does an amazing job, and will leave you speechless by the end of the night. Recommended!
Fun show, great music ... saw it twice.
My 2 boys, ages 18 & 21, wanted to see a show on Broadway, their first visit to NYC. They picked Chicago, and loved it all: the lively music and dancing, the universal storyline, the dancers and their costumes, or lack of from their perspective. One son thought it would be a great career, until he tried some of the dancers moves. Overall a very memorable experience.
I travel to New York often to see a show or two...I have seen Chicago four times already! I love it!! I have the soundtrack in my car...the cell block tango is so much fun!
Wow! I finally saw Chicago after years of all of my friends telling me how amazing it was and they were so right! The choreography was wonderful and the whole story completely came to life on stage. It's definitely the best show I've seen on Broadway after years of seeing theater on a regular basis. I can't wait to plan my next trip to the city to see Chicago!!
I went to go see Chicago back in June and thought it was great. I loved the dancers and have always been a fan of Fosse style. My favorite numbers included Cell Block Tango and All I Care About. I would love to go back and see it again.
I loved this show when I saw it on broadway. The dancing was very crisp and true to Fosse. Edgy and exciting. I would definitely recommend it to other potential viewers.
CHICAGO is the quintessential American musical. It is unique, yet classical; and it seems to transcend time. The book, music and lyrics are always fresh and exciting. I have seen it several times, always with a different cast, and have never been disappointed. I seem to enjoy it more and more every time!
Saw Chicago on Broadway, one of my New Year's Eve trips. Fantastic dancing and singing to all that jazz!!! One of my most memorable Broadway shows.
Chicago is my all time favorite. I have seen it in NY 3 times over the past years. They have done some good cast changes and I enjoy seeing the difference in the performances. When anyone asks me,"what is a good Broadway Show to see, I always say "Chicago" Chances are I will see it again in the future.
When a few family friends came to visit, we took them into the city and treated them to Chicago on Broadway. We had front row seats and it was such an amazing, intensely choreographed show. Chicago is definetly all that jazz!
We saw Chicago in New York on our way back from an exhasting vacation in Europe for 3 weeks. We almost thought we would fall asleep we were so tired... The show was so captivating and entertaining I want to go see it again!! We actually forgot we were tired!!:-)
Recently saw Chicago on Broadway. I had seen it many years ago, but this time we brought our kids. It was terrific, and my kids were especially impressed with the dancing since they both dance. Very tight performance.
I have seen the broadway and touring productions and both were outstanding. The movie helped fill in some of the story line for me, but nothing compares to live theatre!
I saw the production on Broadway, and I was absolutely blown away. The music, casting, and choreography were all fantastic and carried out expertly. I would definitely recommend this show to my friends and family!
Hi! I saw the Broadway production of Chicago in January... I must say that I thought the staging of it was beautiful.. simple and yet sophisticated! The orchestra in the background is an amazing touch... Congrats!
One word: AMAZING!!! I knew that it was gonna be good, but I did not think it was gonna be as good as it was! It exceeded all of my expectations. I saw it on Broadway with Samantha Harris a few weeks ago, and I was surprised how good a singer and dancer she was! I also loved the woman who played Velma! She is now one of my favorite Broadway actresses! I hope to come back and see it again soon!!!!!!!!!
I saw the production in New York. The sleek dancing is what I enjoyed most about this show.
Saw Chicago on Broadway, I let my teenager pick, and he loved it, or so I overheard him telling all his friends. I'm sure it was more than just the excellent singing and dancing. He's even contemplating going on stage himself, they made it look so easy, until he tried a few of the moves.
The only time my husband has ever surprised me in all the years we've been married was for our anniversary with tickets for Chicago at the National theatre in wash dc. I loved it
My husband and I both loved the show. Would recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it!
I saw Chicago in Boston in 2008, and it was fabulous! I was most impressed by the incredible energy of all of the performers.
Saw the show in 1997 and it's still one of the best nights I've ever had in the theatre.
I went to see Chicago last summer. It was my first Broadway musical. I've seen several others since but it is definitely my favorite. The cast, the story, and the music were all perfect. I'll be seeing it again with a friend this fall. I highly recommend going.
I saw this with my best girlfriends this summer and we know that this show is called "Broadway's sure thing" for a reason-- it's a sure thing you'll have a great time!
I loved Chicago! I saw it on Broadway in August 2009, and it was absolutely stunning. My whole family loved it too, which was a wonderful treat, and the entire cast was fabulous. Very highly recommended!
I was in awe with in minutes of the start of this performance. I have seen many musicals and this one had the smallest set and costumes however the music and dancing will blow you away. Chicago is a MUST SEE. I will be going back.
I saw the production on tour in Charlotte in 2008. I loved the simplicity of the stage. It seemed to allow you to focus on the music.
I saw Chicago when I was in London on vacation. It was an awesome play, highly recommended.
My husband prefers plays over musicals but I talked him into going to Chicago last year...and he loved it as much as I did! The dancing and singing is superb and the storyline is fun. Plus we had 4th row seats! Would recommend this show very highly!
We had awesome 3rd row seats. The show was exciting and fun.
My 19 year old dancing daughter and I saw the tour in Charlotte, NC 2008. Was fantastic! My daughter loved the movie and discovered what I already knew, stage productions are always better. Pop..Oh oh...Cicero
Love, love, loved every minute of this show. Chicago is a "MUST SEE... LIVE!" Everything about this show from the costumes to the characters captivated me.
This show is loads of fun and "All That Jazz!"
Absolutely fabulous. My mother told me this was the one to see -- she saw it years ago -- and she was right. We were in NYC for 9 days, and saw 12 shows. This one was memorable -- we loved it. GO!
My parents and I went to see the show in the Ambassador Theater in NYC. All of us had a smile on our faces from the very beginning to the very end. We absolutely loved it!!!
Wonderfully choreographed dances. Songs that get stuck in your head sung by great singers. All around great show.
I saw Chicago with John O'Hurley and loved it! It brought my teen-aged daughter and it was a wonderful way to introduce her to theater!
JUST LOVED THE SHOW!!! GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!
I saw Chicago on Broadway 5 years ago and absolutely loved it!!!!! The singing, dancing and costumes were awesome!!!!
I saw Chicago with Ann Reinking and Bebe Neuwirth in Ann's last performance as Roxie. It was by far the best theatre experience I ever had. The audience was full of celebs and die-hard Ann Reinking fans and the theatre was buzzing with excitement. At one point the audience was cheering for so long that Bebe needed to tell us to "just stop" so they could finish their number. I will not forget this experience.
I am from Chicago, IL and am utterly obsessed with the movie production. I saw the show and literally could not leave my seat after curtain close! It was spectacular! The performance from all the actors was phenomenal! I will definitely see it again!
So good!! It's a must see. I thought the movie was really good, but the show is even better!!!
Absolutely brilliant- I was mesmerized from begining to end. I will be back to see it again! WAY better than the movie!
I've seen Chicago several times in several different places. I absolutely love it every time. Bob Fosse was a genius!!
That's great show, fabolous!!
I saw the movie version of the show, and I have been in love ever since! Mister Cellophane makes me tear up every time.
The show was excellent! Simple set and small theater had me worried at first, but as soon as the performers came out I was mesmerized. The setting was actually perfect for the story. The show was so full of energy. Between the dancing and amazing singing I wanted it to just keep going.
Chicago is one of the best productions I have seen. I had the chance to see it on Broadway recently and it blew my mind. It was fantastic. I recommend it to everyone! You do NOT want to miss Broadway's sure thing!
Without a doubt, one of the best musicals in Broadway history. I loved it when I first saw it in the 70s and now I love it even more after seeing it recently with my wife. (By the way, it has a great cast album .)
The dancing was phenomenal, and Chandra Wilson was fantastically sassy!
Chicago on stage was not what I expected... but I left the theatre dazzled. I was lucky enough to catch Chandra Wilson performing and was totally amazed by the show. Using very little special effects like other shows I have seen on Broadway, she cast rocked the house.
I have seen Chicago MANY times. It is timeless. The Music, the story I truly believe it is one of Broadways CLASSICS!!
I saw this show in June of 2008, and it was wonderful! It is a classic that everyone should try to see at least once.
I saw the show in NYC when Bebe Neuwirth and Marylou Henner were starring in it. The night that I went, Bebe was out and her understudy was performing. I was a little disappointed at first because one of the main reasons for going was to see her, but the show was excellent!! I have since gone back 2 other times to see it again, it's definitely one that you don't want to miss! Mr. Cellophane is great and you will love the Broadway experience!
I loved the movie but I loved the play even better. I felt like I was in a live jazz bar plus great stage work!
this show still sizzal after all these year great
I saw the original production in the 70's and loved it. Then when it came to Encores, I thought it was fantastic but this production just keeps wowing me...I bring all the friends from out of town to see it...it just keeps getting better and better...
I saw the show with Bebe and Marylou. I was floored. The two complimented each other. The final dance number left me wanting it to go on longer. I have now seen the show, since seeing on Broadway, twice on the road. One of my top 10 musicals.
1,000 times better live than the movie! Go see it!
The show was fast-paced, high-energy, and lots of fun! I also purchased special tickets that allowed me to have a pre-show interactive sit-down with the cast members, which was so charming.
One of the most enjoyable shows I have seen all year.
One of the best shows. Music is amazing. Dancing is over the top. Story is as relevant today as it was when it opened. Go see it! You will be glad you did.
I loved it the second time just as much as the first. It never gets boring... Not with Roxy.
First live musical experience for my boyfriend and he was very impressed.
Still one of the best Broadway productions out there. My fiance and I make a point to see Chicago every time we head to Broadway. The music is fantastic, and the show simply can't be beat!
Fantastic show. So witty, so timely.
I really enjoyed Chicago when I saw it a while back with Joey Lawrence. It's amazing how a show that probably should be dated is so appropriate in our current society.
The musical Chicago is a CLASSIC. The limited set design is the perfect backdrop to the music. It really lets you take in the actors and the singing without any distractions to set. It’s a tale of greed, guilt and money. One show you won’t soon forget!
I saw Chicago years ago and just have to say I LOVE IT! Anyone looking for some high energy and loves good jazz will fall for it everytime!
Chicago was fabulous. I recommend that everyone see it.
All action never boring great music great dancing great story. Don't miss it I saw 3 times and want to go again
Chicago still is one of the hottest choreographed plays today. If it's playing anywhere nearby - I'll take the time to see it. Just sing "He Had It Coming" a few times around the house and notice how the husband pays better attention to your needs!
Chicago is an amazing show! The revival and its stark presentation is so beautiful and rich! A good example that bigger isn't always better. The focus on the story and the characters is so clear and vibrant without its original overdone sets and costumes. A guarenteed crowd pleaser!
I saw Chicago in New York. It is is one of the best shows I have ever seen, I recommend it!!!
I discovered it (sadly) only after watching the 2002-movie version. Nothing short of fantastic! I'll see it again in the near future.
From the time I saw the first national tour of Chicago in 1976 in the city of Chicago with its original cast of Jerry Orbach, Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera, I have been in love with the show and consider it Kander & Ebb's best musical score. I have seen several touring companies and casts in various cities since its revival and take great pleasure in introducing the work to new generations of theatre goers. This show is what musical theatre is all about.
This is definately a sure thing on broadway and it should be. Roz Ryan and Samantha Harris are incredible, as well as the other cast members. It is a thrilling, sensual, exhilarating ride from the start and leaves you, like all great shows do, wanting more. This is really a must see if you have not seen it yet. Or see it again, as I will be doing, if you have seen it already!!! :D
"Chicago" is the essence of a really "HOT" musical. It projects you into a different world, and leaves you clamoring for more. I wanted to be able to move the way the actors did and sing and dance my way across a stage with so much chutzpa!. It doesn't go out of style as the era flourishes still. Why are we so pulled into the lives of hookers, gangsters, jails and the "High life" in general. Because we can. We can sit in a theatre and become part of the action even if we are only in the audience. This is a perrenial show.
Chicago is an amazing show that you can see over and over again without becoming bored. I've seen the show multiple times with various casts and it never fails to entertain.
We first saw Chicago on Sept. 16, 2001, three days after Broadway reopened after the destruction of the World Trade Center. What a wonderfully fun show -- great music and choreography, but clearly the response was somewhat muted. But here is the kicker: Nan Visitor and Deidre Goodwin were Roxie and Velma, and at the end of the show they veered a little off script to tie the last scene to the situation in New York. There were few dry eyes in the house, and cast members stationed at the exits were exceptionally busy collecting money for police officers and firefighters. It was an unforgettable experience -- a tremendous show and a cast with a huge heart.
I saw Chicago with my husband who normally either doesn't want to go and I need to drag him or goes and falls asleep at Broadway shows. He loved it!!! Almost as much as I did. This is one Broadway play that kept his interest and entertained him as well as me!
This long-running revival is one of the sexiest, jazziest shows to grace the Broadway stage and has been a showcase of some of the greatest talent in theater history: Bebe Newirth, Ann Reinking, Rita Wilson, and the incredible Charlotte D'Amboise. I took my daughter to see it on her 16th birthday and she has been belting out Roxie's torch songs ever since. May it run for many years to come. Viva Chicago!
Chicago is a story with very deep thoughts. I watched the movie feeling like it is a story worth watching, but turns out the musical is even better. The dance is amazing and the single is great! Absolutely recommended
Chicago was greater then I could imagen the songs, the artist and everything togethere made U feel like U where part of the Musical! I will go back again with some freinds when they come and visit New York City.
Chicago is an energetic must see! The cast is amazing and the songs are infectious! This is a great musical for the family! You will not be disappointed!
Chicago is a great musical filled with so much fun and lots of energy. If you are in for a good fun night, you should see Chicago because you will be sure to enjoy it. i was first introduced to Chicago when the movie came out. I fell in love, and then saw the Broadway musical which made me fall head over heals. Chicago ROCKS my HEART and always leaves me wanting more! It will be sure to POP your bubble.
One of the top Theatrical experiences of my life. I was fortunate enough to see the brilliant Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie Hart and her performance was simply spellbinding. The staging, the dancing, the score, all absolute perfection. Not to mention, the CASTING! From what I've seen, they haven't had any duds performing as leads in this show! Also, Carol Woods as Mama Morton, one of the best vocal and acting performances I have ever seen. Her "When You're Good to Mama" BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN. Would definitely see it again, and bring some friends :)
We took our daughter to see Chandra Wilson in Chicago. She was fantastic and the entire cast was unbelievable. I have been coming to Broadway for over 35 years, this show should be on everyone's - must see list!
Just saw the show for the third time yesterday and it was great as always!
I have seen Chicago in more places than any other show- in New York, London, and Copenhagen. One of my top theatrical performances was seeing Chicago 10 in London with, among other amazing people, my favorite Roxie, Ruthie Henshall. Am going back at some point to see Chandra Wilson and Amra Faye Wright, can't wait!!
I had the chance to see CHICAGO in Buenos Aires. Wow! What a show!
The show was one of the best I have ever seen. I have not stopped talking about it. Sofia Vergara was so good as Mama. The whole cast was amazing!
Soy Mexicano y viaje a Nueva York recientemente del Jueves 14 de Mayo al Domingo 17, y de las cosas que queríamos especificamente ir a ver era el show de Chicago... Fue una maravilla verlo desde la fila C... ME ENCANTO. I really Love it!!!
I saw the tour in San Diego with Bianca M. & Patrick Swayze as Billy Flynn.... I LOVED CHICAGO!!!
I have seen this show twice, and when I am in New York again, I will see it again! Absolutely amazing!
"Are You Kiddin" One of the best (best in my book) Musical ever From "All That Jazz" to "Hot Honey Rags" The musical never lacks excitement I'd definitely see it again and again and again ect until i know the dialogue by heart (I already know all the songs!) We do make celebrities out of criminals and vice versa in Chicago!
I am what you call a teenage Broadway dork! I got a chance to see the non-equity tour, and then the equity tour, and enjoyed both performances. I must say seeing it live, is MUCH better than watching the movie version. I also dragged 3 others with me to the performances, and they aren't what I would call Musical Theatre fans, but let's just say they were singing "He Had It Coming...." the rest of the night! I hope the show continues on broadway, for it truly is a HIT!!! "COME ON BABE, WHY DON'T WE PAINT THE TOWN?"
There is nothing as sexy and comic and smart and fun and beautiful as Chicago!
So incredible. I love this show so much. I saw it in December for my 14th birthday and had standing room, yet that didn't bother me. I loved this show so much. The story is a "killer." This show is the opposite of cellophane: being noticed by everyone!!! The choreography, the lighting, the music, all of it! I absolutely adored the way the orchestra and conductor were involved with the production. Overall, Chicago was an unforgettable experience i will never forget.
The songs are killer.
I saw this in NY last year and it was AMAZING... I enjoyed it from beginning to end.. Wow, what talent these people have...2 thumbs up...
I just wanted to let you know that our Girl Scouts had a wonderful time at CHICAGO. The seats we had were fantastic! They all enjoyed the Students Live workshop and a few even made it onto the stage! It will definitely be a trip they will remember for years to come.
The show is wonderful for students
I loved the show. It was awesome!
Well, I had forgotten how much I adore the show, and really how masterful the staging and score truly are. I do remember loving the show when I first saw it years ago … I was just thrilled last night, and it rose even above my expectations. It seemed as fresh to me as when I first saw it. I can’t remember the last time I felt so happy to be witnessing a true Broadway show. I think the cast is just great.
I loved the show!
