THE PERFECT DOUBLE ACT!! VICKI LEWIS AND NANA VISITOR JOIN "CHICAGO"
AS VELMA KELLY AND ROXIE HART
CHICAGO, Broadway's longest running hit revival, will
have two new "killer-dillers", VICKI LEWIS and NANA VISITOR who
will join the company respectively as Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart. Lewis
and Visitor have previously starred and received great acclaim in the Washington,
D.C. and Las Vegas productions of the show. Vicki will begin performances
on Friday, April 27th and Nana will follow on May 8th.
Vicki Lewis can currently be seen starring as Nora in the hit NBC sitcom,
"Three Sisters". She previously was seen on Broadway in DAMN YANKEES.
Ms. Lewis starred for six seasons as Beth on "News Radio" and
her voice can be heard on the original cast album of "Damn Yankees,"
as well as "Unsung Irving Berlin" and "Gershwin's Girl Crazy."
Nana Visitor, in addition to her current television role
on "Dark Angel," starred for seven years as Kira on the series
"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." Her other Broadway appearances
include MY ONE AND ONLY, A MUSICAL JUBILEE, and THE PRINCE OF GRAND STREET.
She was a series regular on "Working Girl" and has guest starred
in over thirty series.
CHICAGO also stars Chuck Cooper as Billy Flynn, P.J. Benjamin as Amos
Hart and Marcia Lewis as Matron Mama Morton. The show received six 1996
Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and is presented by Barry and
Fran Weissler, with direction by Walter Bobbie and choreography by Ann
Reinking.
